Cathy Rogers

The creator, producer, and host of Junkyard Wars/Scrapheap Challenge (Scrapheap Challenge being the British counterpart.) Supposedly, she came up with the idea when she saw the movie Apollo 13 (hmm, I would have thought it would have come from Mad Max.)

She originally did not want to host the two shows since that was not something she was trained to do. When they could not find other hosts, she relented and took the part.

Cathy Rogers (the same Cathy Rogers, even) was also a keyboardist and vocalist for the C-86/Tweepop bands Heavenly and its subsequent incarnation Marine Research for the duration of the each band's lifetime.
