Carbon Leaf is a Virginian
celtic/rock (sometimes just called
celtic) band with a unique and eclectic sound. They aren't professionally signed yet, but they often open for bands such as
Seven Nations.
Carbon Leaf won the 2001 Coca-cola new music award for outstanding unsigned artists for their single "The Boxer" (on the album Echo Echo).
They are known for complex instrumental melodies and traditional celtic melodies.
