Rub a candle, or a waxy bar of soap over a stamp, affix stamp to envelope and send. Most postage marks made by the post office won't stain the stamp, so that the recipient can reuse it. This is a technique used by broke zinesters in the 80s and 90s. In many cases this would still work today, if you wanted to start a postcard art shindig.
