Cadet Training Assistant
At AFROTC Field Training, CTAs are third year cadets who have already completed camp. They are with cadets from the moment they wake up until they go to sleep, and act like drill sergeants at traditional boot camps. Responsible for not only subjecting cadets to stress, but also participating in the evaluation process.
There are two types of CTAs: Traditional and Flight.
There are five types of Traditional CTAs, each responsible for an overseeing role at camp:
- Group (advises group staff, and the most bastardly of all CTAs)
- Public Affairs (takes pictures, makes the yearbook)
- Physical fitness
- Standardization
- Drill and Ceremonies
Flight CTAs deal with the day to day training of cadets, and can occupy either a flight position or a squadron position, which will include three separate flights.
