Buru Buru Dog is yet another japanese oddity from brought to us from
San-X. He's a small shaking dog, whose weaknesses include things such as polka-dot pants,
hide and seek, ladybugs (he cries if he comes close to one)
loud noises and
rain. He was once afraid of baby chickens, but apparently he got over this fear to become good friends with one of them. He adores
strawberry jello, because it is just about as shaky is he is.
They stay close as
families, and do cute things such as stick smaller dogs on their head, give eachother
piggyback rides, and cover their eyes. His tail is blue when he is scared (almost always) but when they are in love, their tails are pink.
In the Engrish San-X website, he's described as:
"A timid little dog that will tremble when he is cold, or cries. He weighs about 125 grams, and is even afraid of a lady bug! Even the name, Buru Buru means trembling from fear and cold. When Buru trembles, his tail changes colors.
His favorite food is strawberry Jello."
Characteristics they have included are as follow:
weight : 125g on average
nature : always shivering (cry sometimes)
instructions of use : please leave it alone when you find
When with their families, buru buru dogs speak their own language. A term is coined for each sickeningly cute action:
oburu : piggyblack
kaburu : on the head
tsuburu : eyes closed
daburu : double
raburu : love eachother
yorokoburu : happy
