bungaloft. A bungaloft is a type of house, derivative of a bungalow. In addition to the main floor and basement included in a bungalow, a bungaloft includes a partial second floor which may or may not include a loft proper. The bungaloft has a higher roof peak than normal leaving room for a third or so of the size of the base of the house for floorspace on the second floor.
