As he felt the truck begin to jackknife, Rowan knew disaster loomed.

At the foot of the steep hill lay a pristine village of brick-built houses; nestled around a picturesque green where children played in the afternoon sun.

Panicking, he looked across to his brother, Richard. "They're going to die!".

Richard laughed darkly, "Well, it was a stupid place to build a village, wasn't it?".

Rowan's eyes turned back towards the village, fighting to regain control of the truck, but it was too late.

He covered his eyes in disgust as lego bricks were sent careering across the bedroom floor.
