In the up and coming area of Brooklyn Heights, just outside of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Promenade sits above the BQE or Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and overlooks the East River. A tree-lined cobblestone walkway meanders past numerous beautiful ivy-covered townhouses - whose residents include the likes of Norman Mailer.

A perfect spot for a romantic evening, few sights can top that of a sunset behind the NYC skyline, with the Statue of Liberty just visible on a clear night.

The promenade begins at the end of Montague Street and continues up Middagh. Stop by any of the great restaurants and bars along Montague before or after beholding the phenomenal view of the promenade.

Visitors may get to Brooklyn Heights, Montague Street and the Brooklyn Promenade any number of ways, the easiest of course being the New York subway - you may take the 2 or 3 trains to Clark Street, the 3 4 5 M N or R trains to Jay Street/Borough Hall or M 2 3 4 or 5 to Court Street. Well worth the trip!
