Brie de Melun is a classic soft French cheese produced in close proximity to the "King of Kings" Brie de Meaux. It's interior is typically creamy and consistent, and somewhat salty. It is made from raw cow's milk which gives the cheese a musty aroma.

The producers also turn out a fresh and unripened version of Brie de Melun, called Brie de Melun Bleu.

The fat content for both Bries is 45%
