Braun is a German, manufacturer of household goods, though it has been part of The Gillette Company (based in Boston) since 1967. Braun is based in Kronberg, near Frankfurt am Main. The name Braun means brown in English, and is pronounced "brown".
The Braun product line includes various razors and other hair removal products, hair dryers, thermometers, blood pressure monitors, electric toothbrushes, alarm clocks, wrist watches, calculators, coffeemakers, water kettles, food steamers, blenders, juice pressers, irons, and other household appliances.
Braun has long been known for the high quality design of their products, and has some objects in the MOMA.
