Russian children’s characters that represent
negative things:
Booka –a chubby, dark haired boy who never talks, hits people and eats other kids’ fruit cups
Byaka – short, scrawny, freckled boy that pushes people into puddles and laughs and them, spreads gossip, and steals.
The difference between Booka and Byaka is that Booka is a quiet, mean bully, and Byaka is a loud and teasing bully.
When a kid is being bad, the parent would say, don’t be a Booka or a Byaka.
