Not only is the Boogie Bass popular (I've heard reports of it being a top selling item... for
fathers day, perhaps?), it has inspired
several knock off products. They're named
Louie the Largemouth Bass,
Wiggling Willie (
made in China),
Big Mouth Billy Bass, and
Big Mouth Rainbow Trout (made by the same people as Billy Bass). I thought that there was only an original and a kock off... A little research found the bizarre truth. These products trying to make use of the mindshare of the others is almost as bad as products that advertise: "
like seen on TV."
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Yeah, right.
