A book written by George Crane. It delineates a true story about the author's relationship to a Buddhist monk, Tsung Tsai, and their journey into Inner Mongolia to given the monk's teacher a proper burial. Tsung Tsai had left China forty years before due to Mao Zedong's Great Leap Forward, which put him in peril. His monastery, fellow monks, and teacher had all died. This is the story of his pilgrimage back home. It was published in 2000. The secondary headline is "A Buddhist Monk's Search for the Lost Heart of China." I greatly recommend this book. I read it all last night.
