A blooper is an error, typically humorous and/or embarrassing. One can make a blooper at work, such as when you dump your Venti Caramel Macchiato on your new laptop or, even better, on your co-worker's machine.

Most of the time these are only remembered during the annual Christmas party. There is one industry that memorializes them on DVD and Blu Ray.

Many movies and series that are for sale on disc include extras to entice folks to buy the entertainment media. Some include so-called "blooper reels" that show the actors and crew screwing up their lines or the shot. Many times it's one person who cannot stop laughing because of something funny that just happened. It's like watching Harvey Korman trying not to laugh at Tim Conway on the old Carol Burnett Show. Sometimes these errors make it into the final film, like the Stormtrooper that runs into the door before it is fully open in the original Star Wars.
