A section of Highway
21 in St. Louis, Mo
. It was dubbed
this during the 80s
because of the frequent traffic accidents and deaths that occur on this stretch of road
. There is currently plans to improve the road making it a divided highway
with 4 lanes and on ramp
But recently a lawsuit filed by the Missouri Sierra Club might suspend repairs to the road under the Environmental Protection Act. The lawsuit could end up costing the state around $600 million. Yet, since these improvements fall under safety improvements the lawsuit may not effect them. That is being hashed out right now.
It also has a macabre caution sign.
