Bellbowrie is a
suburb in the outer Western suburbs of
Brisbane. It is typical
suburbia, with
children playing in the wide streets and people walking their
dogs at every hour of the day.
All traffic coming into Bellbowrie comes via Moggill Road, before branching off into smaller main roads like Montanus Drive and Birkin Road.
The main commercial centre in Bellbowrie is the Bellbowrie Plaza. There is a Coles Supermarket there now, but they forced a small supermarket out of business by opening up less than 100m away. There is also a Blockbuster video store, a Pizza Hut, a bakery, a newsagent, and a handful of other small stores.
Most of the childen in the suburb of the 5-11 year old bracket attend Moggill State Primary School which is in the next suburb over. Most children of high school age attend either Kenmore State High School, 10 minutes toward the city, or one of many private colleges in the city such as Brisbane Boys' College, Ipswich Girls Grammar School, or Nudgee College.
