There is something sick in culture, and fashion.. we love things that are so beautiful and depressing..

It seems that anything that doesn't come across as morose will also fail to be seen as beautiful. Look at the damn grunge era, these girls looks like poster children for rehab. So delicate, so troubled.

Songs like "Meet Virginia", she's so misunderstood, miserable, yet beautiful and to be desired.

We turn madness into some great art or poetry. Sylvia Plath is a great example for the over-romanticized look at misery. Is it because we fear how ugly and awful mental illness is? We need to trivialize and look at it from afar??
