For some reason, her character seemed to be the most popular of the five options for emulation by preteen girls; during the heyday of the Spice Girls on MTV, newscasters reported record numbers of "Baby"s with smaller quantities of "Ginger"s and "Sporty"s among the thronging hordes. Thankfully, attempts by 11 and 12-year-old girls to find Prada minidresses were rare, preventing all sorts of badness on both sides of the pond.
