Guardian of the Lake of Flames in egyptology. Said to feed upon the overturned bodies of the enemies of Osiris, Lord of the Underworld, rending, raping and devouring the souls of the damned. Baboui is also said to hold the power to open the gates of the Duat, or Underworld.
