A very good college in east central Alabama. In the Old Days was known as the Alabama Polytechnic Institute, or API. Has a very stately brick administrative building at the entrance of campus known as Samford Hall.

Known for its excellent engineering programs as well as its Southeastern Conference (SEC) football team. The city of Auburn allocates budgetary funds each year for the removal of toilet paper used by students to roll the trees at Toomer's Corner after a football victory.
