Atreyu is also the name of a metalcore band from Orange County, California. Their sound is best described as screaming hardcore vocals with fast but coherent heavy metal instrumentals. Recent albums have a slight emo influence.
They first started performing in 1998, and are still together. Their most recent single, Becoming the Bull, was released in June 2007.
