Atlantic League

Proposed football league for professional clubs from Holland, Portugal, Belgium, Scotland and Scandanavia to enable them to compete with clubs from the big leagues in Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France.
It would be a good idea since teams such as Rangers, Celtic, Ajax, PSV Eindhoven, Porto, Benfica and Anderlecht are all great clubs with next to no competition in their own leagues.

The Atlantic League baseball league was formed in 1998 with the mission to "bring a high level of professional baseball and affordable family entertainment to selected communities not presently being served by Major League or Minor League teams." The league is one element of urban renewal programs in their respective cities. Most of the teams are focused on the greater New York City tri-state area, with the furthest team being the Pride in Nashau, NH.
