What I
consider to be a
better name for what's commonly called "writer's block".
If you've ever tried to
write at least a
long story; something where the
characters run away from you and
start doing their own things,
fucking up your plot, and suddenly you can't understand
any better than they why the
trees are blue or the
temperature is so abnormally
hellish...one of your
good guys is suddenly a
pedophile, or one of your
bad guys goes
soft in a
critical situation, or a
meteor comes out of nowhere and
changes everything...you know what I mean.
Made-up people aren't any
more stable than the
living ones, especially when they're trying to live in a
brain as
crowded and chaotic as mine. But if you've ever tried to
marshall a story out of a
flood of
human-tinted ideas and
half-random talent, you know what it's like to be
Lost For Worlds.
