You would think a game where you play
plastic army men, those loved toys from your
youth, woud be really fun. Yet, somehow, it isn't.
Army Men II is the sequel to, you guessed it, Army Men. Both games were made by
3DO. You take on command of a squadron of "green" plastic army men to battle the evil "tan". Features such venues as the
back yard, the
kitchen, the
bedroom and
garage. While this would seem really fun in theory, the execution of this game was poor, and even though Army Men I
sucked, and
bombed, they still made a sequel, which in turn sucked as well. That would not
discourage 3DO, however, and now , apparently, have created a whole "Army Men" division of the company, which is making naval and air battle games on the brand.
