Αρεθουσα

A nymph of the Peloponnese and of Sicily (see Alpheus and the Naiads).

There has been found a decadrachm signed by Evainetos (395 - 380 B.C.), bearing the likeness of Arethusa, who was loved by the river god Alpheus and to escape him she fled to Syracuse where she was changed into a spring.
