AMD has recently launched a new breed of the Duron processor.
The new processor will be based on the core correctly written as Applebred also known as Duron Model 8.
The Applebred processor will be based on the Athlon XP design but will feature smaller L2 cache.

The chips will come in OPGA packages and have 1.50V Vcore and up to 57.0W maximum thermal power, according to an AMD document.
They will be sold cheaply and are expected to overclock very well.
