In Live Human, Andrew Kushin accompanies DJ Quest's turntables with expertise to keep the mix alive. Other credits include the string ensemble Closer to Carbon and co-founding Out of Round Records. He and Albert Mathias (also of Live Human) have worked together in the performance group Contraband, and in the "free jazz" trio Thread with saxophonist Charles Sharp.
