Another of the poems by Chinese poet Li Po which was set to music in Harry Partch's Seventeen Lyrics Of Li Po. The translation given here is from the 1928 Shigeyoshi Obata translation The Works of Li Po, the Chinese Poet.

An enamorous rider

Trampling the fallen flowers on the road
the dangling end of his crop
brushes a passing carriage of fine colored clouds

The jewelled curtain is raised

A beautiful woman smiles within
"That is my house" she whispers
pointing to a pink house beyond.
