In an attempt to evade
association to tobacco
products, Philip Morris
have renamed themselves ALTRIA GROUP INC.
Officially, they want to "clarify [
] corporate identity, making it clear to people how to refer to [
] tobacco companies and how to refer to the parent company" and show evolution: "We are not the same family of companies we were just a few years ago".
The proposed new logo looks like a heavily pixellated MS Office logo; a 5x5 mosaic of Blue, Red, Green and Yellow color blotches.
