The self-proclaimed "San Francisco of the Midwest", Algoma, Wisconsin is a sleepy little town of 3000. The town is on Lake Michigan, in Kewaunee county, just south of Door County. They have an annual summer festival called Shanty Days. Algoma's main industries are agriculture, tourism (chartered boat fishing in the summer, snowmobiling in the winter) and the manufacture of product labels.
