Alfred Rosenberg was a German politician, born in Reval, Estonia. An avid supporter of National Socialism, he joined the Party in 1920, edited Nazi journals, for a time directed the Party's foreign policy (1933), and in 1934 was given control of its cultural and political education policy. In The Myth of the 20th Century (1930) he expounded the extreme Nazi doctrines which he later put into practice in E Europe, for which crime he was hanged at Nuremberg in 1946.
