The composer and orchestrator of nearly all the music on The Simpsons (other than the theme music by Danny Elfman) since its thirteenth episode in 1990. An extremely talented man who manages to come up with appropriate melodies for the lyrics and dialogue written by the show's writers, and make sure that the voice actors can even reach the notes their character is going to sing. He's won Emmys for "You're Checking In" and "We Put The Spring In Springfield."

He was born 28 March 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but was raised in North Dakota. He has also scored The Critic, Moonlighting and ALF.
