Cartoonist and scriptwriter born in Italy, 1927. Began his career in Junior magazine and passed through several french and belgian magazines before he joined René Goscinny in 1950. The two created some unsuccessful comics before they created Asterix together in 1959.
Uderzo still draws Asterix, his major call to fame.
