The S3000XL is an upgraded version of the S3000 model.
The major improvement on the XL is the ability to upgrade the sample RAM with standard 2 and 16MB SIMMs instead of costly expansion boards. Built-in S/PDIF digital i/o and SCSI interface are also included. There is no onboard effects generator like the S3000 has, but the XL can be expanded with the SampleVerb and ProFilter cards.
