word reputed to mean, "composed of both
good and
evil." The word is most commonly used to refer to deities who cannot be easily classified as "good" or "evil," such as the
gods of
Ancient Greece.
The word is derived from the Greek roots agathos, meaning "good," from which the name "Agatha" is derived, and kakos, meaning "bad," from which we get kakistocracy and cacophony (literally, "bad sound").
