Afterburner 2 (or Super Afterburner) is a very early and not particularly good Megadrive port of Sega's popular, scaling, rotation and pneumatic chair dependent coin-op. Lacking all of these elements makes the home version pretty tedious and repetitive. In my opinion, the Master System version is more fun. Strangely, this version of the game would occasionally print messages in broken English that had no bearing on the game, about somebody called Tom sensing great danger, etc. Luckily, Sega soon got around to writing some decent games for the MD (Castle of Illusion, Revenge of Shinobi and Columns being early classics), but we had to suffer the likes of this, Altered Beast and Last Battle first.
