Breed of cat hailing from the Cycaldic Islands in the Aegean sea, near Greece.
Although, this type of cat has been around for centuries and natural occurring in Greece. They were not recognized as a formal breed until the 1990s, making them one of the "newer" cat breeds.
A national treasure in their native country, they are noted for their love of water and fish, where they are common sight around fishing ports looking for and/or begging nearby humans for a bite to eat.
