This light Acer Travelmate 341T notebook, only 4.3 pounds without floppy and CDROM drives is great. Even though it's 12.1 inch TFT screen is on SVGA (800x600) resolution, it is clear.
The external floppy and CDROM is in a combined package weighing 1.8 pounds. Best thing is it is hot pluggable when using the included Windows 98 OS.
When, I carry just the notebook into meetings without all other peripherals, it is hardly noticeable or bigger than the A4 files I bring. Though, it's included coloured plastic vanity jackets do attract some attention.
Oh ... my Acer Travelmate 341T notebook have a sticker saying "Good Design Award 1999" on it. I'm not sure what that award was for.
