Ace of Base (who used to be called "Tech Noir", apparently after the nightclub in the film,
Terminator) are a famous Swedish pop band.
They describe their style as
pop-
reggae.
They are the apotheosis of early
1990s pop, and despite having 4 albums, AoB are most famous for these three examples of their earliest work:
- All That She Wants - which reached number 2 in 1993.
- The Sign
- Don't Turn Around
Although they are a Swedish band, they failed to get signed in Sweden, but were evetually picked up by
a Danish label
The band consists of 4 members:
- "Linn". Real name "Malin"
- Jenny
- "Joker" Real name "Jonas" - he does most of the songwriting.
- "Buddha" Real name "Ulf" - controversially an ex-skinhead.
Linn Jenny and Joker are
siblings.
