Let's try an explanation of the different parts of this
ASCII art:
The middle part is the battle action happening, this being the final showdown:
The
USS Reliant commandeered by
Khan fires a torpedo (RELIANT FIRING PH TORP).
This deals a crippling blow to the
Enterprise, which loses
warp drive capability (WARP DRIVE DAMAGED).
Khan has triggered the
Genesis Device which will explode soon, but the Enterprise cannot escape the blast radius on impulse drive alone (COURSE SET TO 8-8).
Spock
sacrifices himself by repairing the
warp core by hand, suffering deadly radiation burns. (**NEW REPAIR TECHNIQUE**)
Finally, the warp drive comes back online, the Enterprise escapes the blast radius (WARP DRIVE REPAIRED!)
