Anonymous Drummer on most Stock, Aitken and Waterman productions

When Mike Stock and Matt Aitken met Pete Waterman in the early eighties, Waterman had already been in the production business for some time, producing people like Nik Kershaw and obviously had an impressive collection of gear in his studio. When the hit factory started to turn out their records, most SAW artists (Mel and Kim, Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Bananarama, Sinitta, Donna Summer,etc) seemed not only to have the the same keyboarder, programmer and guitarist (Stock and Aitken) but always the same drummer: A. Linn.

That was of course an inside joke: the highly repetitive drum patterns of SAW where produced by a Linn 9000 drum machine, but at least some in the music press didn't realise that were being had, referring to A. Linn as a real person.

Nice drum machine, though...
