A story by Ray Bradbury about time travellers who travel to prehistoric days and accidentally change the course of future events. A sort of butterfly effect that ripples through time and ruins the future. This story has since been rehashed many times, such as by Star Trek The Next Generation or The Simpsons.

The butterfly effect in this story literally involves a butterfly: A travel agency takes hunters into the past to kill dinosaurs. Tremendous care is taken that nothing in the target location be disturbed, other than the dinosaurs, which, it has been determined, were about to die anyway). A special walkway is even suspended so that the time travelers do not even step on the ground. But one of them slips off of this and...steps on a butterfly. When the hunters return to their own time they find that the English language has a much more marked Germanic bent and an important election has just gone to a candidate they deem fascist.
