A play by Morris Panych. It recounts the story of the main character, "Man" (the only character in the play, in fact, who does not have a specified name), who, realizing that his life is essentially meaningless and empty, finds himself on the ledge of the seventh storey of an apartment building, contemplating suicide. Once there, he interacts with the various occupants of the seven apartments, so in effect, witnesses seven different "stories". (Hence the wit of the title.)

All of the other characters, Man learns, have lives just as devoid of real meaning or purpose as his own, although they each have developed an absurd point or notion or focus to validate their own existence.

Overall, an excellent, humorous, and engaging play, with an ending that verges on the surreal.
