The country code top level domain (ccTLD) .VU is assigned to the 83 South Pacific islands of Vanuatu. The TLD is not restricted for use. There are no requirements for a connection to the country itself and is available for use worldwide.

There are no officially configured second-level subdomains but some common ones do appear like .gov.vu.

The .VU ccTLD has been activated by Telecom Vanuatu Limited, the sponsor and registrar. The ccTLD has been available since 1995. The ccTLD is available and popular both inside and outside the country.

The registrar originally gave away .VU domain registrations but has since switched to a paid registration system.
