Good for a laugh. Thank goodness, because my heart was still in my throat from the NY-SF game. Wow. I was not really rooting for either team (although I don't really like SF all that much). One thing I disagreed with is that Owens should have been kicked out of the game as well as the NY guy. But NY definitely lost that one all on their own. Crazy to blow a huge lead like that. I was at one point getting all excited about football this year again, and decided to check out Super Bowl tickets. Appears like they are $1600 or more apiece. Yikes!

The new year is starting out okay in some respects... systems are more stable, knock on wood), wireless is still working in the house after a false alarm, lots of goodies from new year sale, and a scrabble game on my laptop (endless procrastination)... but still I have not gotten to the gym yet. And next week I'm on call (excuses, excuses). Well, we'll see...
December 29, 2002 (idea)http://everything2.com/user/sgs/writeups/December+29%252C+2002sgshttp://everything2.com/user/sgs2002-12-29T20:27:56Z2002-12-29T20:27:56ZI had one of the most relaxing holidays at home in a long time. The whole family was there plus extended family. My nephew Tobias is such a neat little kid. Smart, polite, fun, and loves Bob the Builder. Now that song is stuck in my head... Bob the Builder! (...YES WE CAN!).

I got everything I asked for, but what was neater to me was that I was able to give my brother (whose name I drew) stuff he really needed.

We had a lot of fun playing monopoly and scrabble. I got clobbered in monopoly, but won three times in scrabble, once with the word tepidity, using all of my letters.

What is to come of the next year? Time will tell. I hope (I bet like many) to take advantage of my health club membership, read a lot of books, and work less.

September 8, 2002 (idea)http://everything2.com/user/sgs/writeups/September+8%252C+2002sgshttp://everything2.com/user/sgs2002-09-08T06:36:47Z2002-09-08T06:36:47Z

Dealing with stress... I can sympathize with where cbustapeck is coming from. Stress seems to be part of our daily grind nowadays. Got to get the "A", got to get the debt paid off, got to avoid getting shot, got to impress dear old dad, got to get into the right circle, got to feed the kids... it all depends on who you are. Everyone has their own source of stress. No answers from me, just thought I'd sympathize.

Meanwhile, life goes on. I can't believe that I've been here in Boston two years... time has flown by and I haven't really done much for myself except work. Sure, I have my excuses and I have had some good reasons for being the way I have, yet I wonder to myself how much longer I will put my life on hold. I have seen clearly for a while that it is not any external thing that is influencing my life here especially -- it is my choices, my fears. I guess it could be worse. Maybe it is better to go slow than to rush ahead foolishly. Blah blah blah.

I did apologize to the guy for snapping at him, but damn, be a little careful if you're living in someone else's place. mom (who knows where she got it). My sister
actually made it more often than my mom and a lot more often than I have. Our family would always watch and make sure nobody got
too large of a slice cut because we were interested

added a few of my own hints to make it go smoother.

Well my June 27-July 1 visit to Phoenix went great. I was able to visit my relatives after getting the business done. My boss and I went to this great place Los Dos Molinos on recommendation of our customer. That was Thursday and Friday. What was really cool is that my Mom and Grandma were visiting from Texas during the weekend. One uncle and aunt is building a new home near this mountain. Don't remember the name, but it sure is a cool view. The other uncle and aunt we stayed with -- they were so cool. Talk about hospitality.... we had a first class breakfast each morning...

July 4 was great too. Not just because it made the already short week even shorter, but we had a cookout at my place, although it was so hot. Everyone ended up hanging out in front of multiple fans or outside where it was just starting to cool off. We all took off to the Charles River to see the fireworks.
