Curtis Salgado is a blues harp or harmonica player. He used to play with the Robert Cray Band, but now is playing on his own I believe. Legend has it that when John Belushi was in Eugene, Oregon to film Animal House he saw Curtis perform and based the character Jake Blues from the Blues Brothers on Curtis.
As a matter of fact, the first Blues Brothers album is dedicated to Curtis Salgado. I was attending University of Oregon when John Belushi was there filming Animal House, and the Robert Cray band did indeed perform there several times.
