The unfortunate victim of a period of psuedo-heterosexuality that the openly homosexual poet Allen Ginsberg went through.

Ginsberg suddenly decided in his mid-20s that he would try a type of aversion therapy and psychoanalysis to eliminate the "sickness" that caused him to be homosexual. Believing himself cured, he even became engaged to Helen Parker, a college student in her early 20s.

However, the engagement was short-lived and seems to have scarred Parker permanently. When Ginsberg returned to his previous life, both sexually and professionally (he was, during this "straight" time, an advertising man), Parker is said to have mourned their relationship for decades.
