Modern day Fara or Tall Fa'rah. An ancient city with habitation going back to the late prehistoric period. Celebrated in Sumerian legend as the home of Ziusudra, and in The Epic of Gilgamesh as the home of Utnapishtim. In both stories, the sole human survivor of the great flood (well actually, his wife also survived with him; but he was the major character in the story).

It is located in what is modern day Iraq.
