The replica tall masted sailing ship, "HMS Bounty", built for the 1962 movie of the same name, sank today off the coast of North Carolina.
I recall visiting and boarding this ship both in Florida and on the Georgia coast, and it was grand!

There were initially reported to be 16 ship's crew on board as she started to sink. All were reported to have boarded lifeboats. I think not all yet accounted.
The ship has three masts with mainsail, mid and topsails, and a foresail
