Dianic Wicca, sometimes called Feminist Dianic Witchcraft focuses exclusively on the Goddess and consists of women-only groups and covens. Dianic Wiccans are usually politically feminist, and there is a strong lesbian presence in this Tradition, though they are not all lesbian by any means.

Dianics choose not to work with male energy in their ritual, magic, or universe. They often feel that religion has overemphasized the male aspect of divinity for long enough. They feel that they celebrate the divine feminine in their work. After all, some mysteries only directly apply to one sex (e.g. menstruation).

It is worthwhile noting, though not surprising, that some Dianic Wiccans claim that the suppression of female divinity was no accident.

Dianic Wicca is often considered to have been inspired by the writings of Z. Budapest and Starhawk.
